A Shimmer of a Dream...

     You open your eyes and immediately regret doing so.  Pain strikes your sensitive eyes like a thousand needles making you want to close them, but instead, you blink in rapid succession.  Finally your eyes have adjusted to the brightness of the place you are in and you find yourself laying on your back on a cool surface.  You have no idea where you are and slowly come up to a sitting position.  More brightness attacks your eyes and you squint trying to make sense of the things you are seeing.
     All around you is white, upon white, upon white.  When you look up, you see a white sky, and looking down brings you with more whiteness, but with a polished look.  On the glossy floors of the endless whiteness are whitened tables with rather intriguing objects and things lying on top.  Kites, picture frames, rings, shoes, pencils, sunglasses, scenes of beaches: they were all there wherever a table was.  To make everything even more confusing, floating all around, almost unnoticeably, were puffy white, roaming clouds.  
     Standing up, you look down at yourself and surprisingly find yourself in your usual pajamas.  With a bit of relief flooding through your conscious (or unconscious), you cautiously make your way to the nearest table.  On it you find a small portal looking object that is displaying a teen girl playing in the waves, then eventually making her way over to a boy who is laughing and calling out to her.  You reach out to touch the portal when something glinting in the corner of your peripheral vision catches your eye.
     Completely forgetting about your curious urges to touch the portal you, turn away from the table and start out to find the mysterious gleam of light.
